The 24th edition of the Anifilm International Festival of Animated Films will take place in Liberec from May 6 to 11, once again showcasing the best of contemporary Czech and international animation. Maurfilm will be strongly represented at the festival, with seven films selected for the competition sections.

Within the Czech Horizon program, the following titles will be presented:

Hurikan (Short Film D)

Weeds (Student Film C)

Hello Summer (Czech Horizon for Children I)

I Died in Irpin (Short Film B and Czech Horizon I)

So-called Eliška’s Belt – Hradec Králové 800 Years (Czech Horizon II, directed by Lucie Sunková)

Home (Czech Horizon IV)

In addition, the short film JOKO will be featured in the International Short Film Competition (Section C). This co-production project by Maurfilm stands out with its distinctive visual style and socially resonant theme.

Special attention will be given to the student film Weeds, which will be accompanied by a dedicated exhibition. Festival visitors can experience an installation composed of backlit frames from the film, offering a deeper insight into its unique artistic world.

Projects in development and production will be looking for partners at the festival’s industry programme at the CEE Animation Market: Fears, Funnel Tunnel, Otis and Rosentaal.
