The international co-production market CEE Animation Forum 2025 has included the new short film Pogo among its 29 most promising European animation projects.
“Our story is inspired by a real historical event from 1977, when ‘humanity’ (NASA) sent the Voyager probe into space with a message for other civilizations: the Golden Record, with greetings and a cross-section of our cultures. What – or who – might the probe encounter? How would it be received? What would it truly say about humanity? These questions were on my mind when my seven-year-old son came home from school with a drawing of three aliens – Ino, Naka, and Pitapota,” says the film’s director Jana Švermová.
