It has been exactly a year since Suzie in the Garden had a world premiere in Berlinale in the Gkids section. Since then it won dozens of awards including the Golden Slipper for the Best Animated Film in Zlín International Film Festival for Children and Youth, the DAFilms award and the prize for the Best European Short Film in BAB festival to name a few. It has also been selected for prestigious festivals such as Dok Leipzig, BFI London, Melbourne IAF and others.
Recently the short film was also nominated for the Best European Children film ECFA Award and the Czech Lion Award.
The fans of oil painting on glass and poetic stories can get their money’s worth and watch Lucie Sunková’s film Suzie in the Garden on DAFilms selection from the 20th of February 2023.
