Maurfilm is proud to announce that our project Demon of the Marshes, directed by Martin Pertlicek and produced by Kamila Dohnalová, has been selected for the upcoming edition of the CEE Animation Forum 2024. The CEEAF, renowned as the leading regional event for pitching, financing, and co-production in the animation industry, will take place in Pilsen, Czech Republic, on November 12-13.
Demon of the Marshes is one of the 31 projects chosen from a record-breaking 123 applications spanning 31 countries, reflecting a significant 30 percent increase in submissions compared to last year.
The official 2024 lineup is diverse, featuring 9 features, 7 TV series, 9 short films, and 6 student films. Among these, Maurfilm’s Demon of the Marshes stands out in the short film category, offering a captivating stop-motion that follows the journey of Josef Paseka, an alter-ego of Czech expressionist painter Josef Váchal, on his odyssey through the captivating Šumava Mountains.
