After 10 years of preparation work begins on the film The Crossing

In the partner studio XBO films in Toulouse backgrouds for Florence Miailhe‘s planned coproduction feature length film The Crossing are beginning to be painted. A non-traditional animation technique of painting on glass is being used. The author of the script is recognized scriptwriter Marie Desplechin and the film is a three-sided French-German-Czech coproduction.

Czech animators will start work on the film in November this year in Prague and it should be finished in December 2019.

The film received support from the Czech State Cinematography Fund and the coproducer for the Czech Republic is Czech Television.

The film will be painted using Czech oil paints UMTON.
