Two animated projects will be presented in two different pitching categories at the CEE Animation Forum 2021. Daria Kashcheeva will unveil a bit more about her new project Electra. A Poem. (p. Zuzana Křivkova). The team has been working on the project since more than one year – an extensive actor casting, and demanding shooting of an impressive teaser, which functioned at the same time as a technological test and investigation of the visual possibilities of the material.
“After the quiet and meditative Daughter this is wild, provocative, and surreal, and at the same time a poetic exploration of the heavy subject of femininity, growing up, complicated family relationships – all in a chilling atmosphere“ explains Martin Vandas.
The second short film project Forgive by Alzbeta Macakova Misejkova is in the new category “Rising Stars”, dedicated to student films. The film is produced by Jiri Pecinovsky, Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague – FAMU.
Both projects were presented at the pitching competition Animační espresso 2020 where Forgive won the main award and Electra. A Poem. received special mention.
